Singin' in the Rain “pours” down delight, capturing the waning days of the silent screen era as they give way to new-fangled “talkies.” With The Jazz Singer premiere making Hollywood frantic, the studios are forced to suddenly change all the movie-making rules at once, to accommodate sound. In doing so, they leave silent pictures -- and some of their stars -- behind. When Monumental Studios turns silent The Dueling Cavalier into The Dancing Cavalier, a musical picture, in order to stay relevant, they are faced with a problem: their star, Lina Lamont can’t sing, and can’t even really talk. Lina’s voice sounds something like nails on a chalkboard. Enter Kathy Selden, an aspiring actress whose dulcet tones are able to cover Lina Lamont’s -- calling into question what it means to act, how credit is distributed, and what it means to get a fair shake in the movie business. Singin' in the Rain includes some of the best-loved comedy routines, dance numbers, and love songs ever written, including “Good Mornin’,” “Make ‘em Laugh,” and - of course - the show-stopping dance number, “Singin’ in the Rain.”

Amy Blom

Amy is excited to be returning to the stage with PoiemArtistry. She graduated from Anderson University in 2019 earning her BFA in Musical Theatre. While attending college, Amy performed with Mill Town Players and choreographed for Stagecraft Children's Theatre. Upon graduation, She started working for Walt Disney World where she took several entertainment and management classes. Amy has previously appeared in shows such as Fiddler on the Roof (Hodel), Mary Poppins (Mary Poppins), Pirates of Penzance (Mabel), Big Fish (Sandra Bloom), and The Marvelous Wonderettes (Cindy Lou). She currently works in childcare encouraging young minds as well as sales and social media. Amy would like to say a special thank you to her parents, Mike and Karen Blom, as well as her fiancé, Dillon Traphagen, for their continued support.
Daniella Civile

Daniella made her Poiema debut in Titanic the Musical. She is currently a 6th grader at North Raleigh Christian Academy (NRCA) and loves to sing and act. Daniella played the role of “Fairy Godmother’s comedic helper” in Cinderella (Street Players Production) at Field of Dreams Performing Arts and was in North Raleigh Christian Academy’s Cinderella production. She has taken dance at Broadway Dance Theatre (North Plainfield, NJ) and Dance Dynamics (Wake Forest, NC). Daniella would like to give a special thanks to all her friends, family, and to the Lord, Jesus Christ.

Darrio Connor
(Police Officer/Talking Picture)
Darrio is appearing in his second show with PoiemArtistry. He played “Captain E.J. Smith” in Titanic The Musical. Darrio is from California, has been in North Carolina for ten months. He studied theater at Santa Monica College in Los Angeles, Pasadena College and University of Southern California. He trained to be a “soap opera actor” along with “television for children”. Darrio has worked as a model for several years. He has been in many theater productions such as “RENT”, “High School Musical”, “You Can’t Take it With You”, “Othello”, “Dream Girls”, “Up the Downstairs Case”, “Rodgers And Hammerstein’s Cinderella”, “Thumbelina” and a host of others. His television credits include “Moesha” “Eye on LA”, “Infamy”, “Untold Stories of the ER” and more. He has also been in many music videos, worked with many different talented music artists such as Mac Miller, Stephanie Mills, and SOS Band to name a few. Darrio is a father of two beautiful daughters, has been married for 30 years and works full time as an actor. Darrio is so honored to work with so many beautiful talented people at Poiema. He thanks God for this opportunity.
Samuel Davis
(Young Cosmo/Ensemble) (Sammy)
Samuel is excited to participate in his very first PoiemArtistry production. He is in the 5th grade at Christian Life Academy. His favorite subjects are Bible, math, and science. Sammy enjoys learning about animals and building large Lego sets. He also loves to sing, dance, and play the piano. These are all gifts that he wants to use to give glory to God. Sammy is one of the most friendly and kind hearted people you will ever meet. He is greatly loved by and his father (Eric), mother (Amanda), brother (Nathaniel), sister (Abigail), and many other family members and friends.
Michael Dial

Michael is performing in his fifth production with PoiemArtistry. His PA stage credits include: The Great Day (“Vocal Soloist”), Similitude: The Great Adventure Begins (“Faithful”), Seussical the Musical (“General Gengus Khan Schmitz”/”Wickersham Brother”), and Titanic (“J. Bruce Ismay”). Michael recently graduated from Liberty University Online with a degree in Sports Management. He would like to thank his family for supporting him in everything he does, and his amazing voice teacher, Mrs. Lori Tomalonis, for stretching him vocally and believing in him.
Tiffany Dye

Tiffany is performing in her third production with PoiemArtistry in Singin’ in the Rain. She appeared as “Mary Bunyan” in Similitude: The Great Adventure Begins and “ensemble in Seussical, the Musical. Tiffany enjoys fine arts and looks forward to participating in many more productions. Special thanks to Mom, Dad, Preston, and Reagan for their support and guidance.
Brighton Evans

Brighton is excited to perform in her second PoiemArtistry production! She has been cast in various musical productions including The Secret Garden (“Mary Lennox”), The Music Man (“Ensemble”), Peter Pan, and The Sound of Music (“Louisa”)! Brighton is currently a 10th grader at North Raleigh Christian Academy. Brighton was seen earlier this year in Titanic as “Madeleine Astor”. She is so very grateful for everyone in her life who has helped her in all her shows! Brighton sends a special thanks to her family, friends, her voice teacher, Mrs. Fabio, and The Green’s for this amazing opportunity.
Louise Farmer
(Miss Dinsmore/Ensemble)
Louise is delighted to be in her 2nd PoiemArtistry production, having played ”Ida Straus” in Titanic the Musical. She is sure her 28 years of teaching internationals to speak good English prepared her for her role as “Miss Dinsmore”. Louise is thankful to Mike Green for offering her this opportunity, to her friends for their support, and to God for taking her on this adventure.
Rebecca Farrell

Rebecca is so excited to be a part of Poiema's production of Singin’ in the Rain. She was previously in Similitude: The Great Adventure Begins and Seussical the Musical as a part of the ensemble. Rebecca is a freshman at Christian Life Academy and she also works part-time at Chick-Fil-A. She would like to thank her best friend Reagan for being so supportive of her and coming to all the shows. Rebecca would also like to thank her sister Shayla for being there for her when she is nervous about one of the shows, and she would like to especially thank the Greens for everything they have done for her and her dad. She is incredibly honored to be a part of Poiema’s cm family and being in the productions is something she really enjoys and she absolutely can not wait to see what God has in store for Poiema.
Matt French
(Male Diction Coach/Ensemble)
Matt is thrilled to make a return to Poeima Arts in Singin’ In The Rain! This is his second show with Poiema, having played “Frederick Barrett” in Titanic the Musical. Matt also played “Edgar Beane” in NRCA's production of Titanic in 2013 under the direction of Mr. Green. Since then, Matt has performed in numerous college choirs and barbershop quarters that have gone on tours both nationally and internationally. He currently works at Duke University’s Medical School as a Research Scientist, and he would like to thank all the Poiema staff, the Greens, his friends, and family for their wonderful support.
Chelsae Green
(Zelda Zanders/Choreographer/Associate Director)
Chelsae is honored to be part of PoiemArtistry and Poiema Arts, Inc. Originally from Ohio, she grew up in Raleigh where she received her dance education through several studios in the area, as well as North Raleigh Christian Academy. In 2011, she graduated with a B.A. in Dance Studies from Meredith College. Upon graduation, she accepted a teaching position at NRCA, where she taught dance and was the Assistant Theater Director and Choreographer for seven years. Some of her favorite and most memorable shows to produce and choreograph have been Phantom of the Opera, West Side Story, White Christmas, Secret Garden, and Mary Poppins. Chelsae and her family owned and operated a performing arts studio for 13 years before opening Poiema Arts in 2017. She has instructed hundreds of students in ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, contemporary, and musical theater. Chelsae is an ABT® Certified Instructor and has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive, Pre- Primary through Level 7, and Partnering of the ABT® National Training Curriculum. She currently serves as a member of the Poiema Arts Board of Directors and Dance Director and Choreographer for PoiemArtistry.
Grace Green

Grace is excited to return to the stage in PoiemArtistry’s, Singin’ in the Rain. Her previous credits include “Gertrude McFuzz” in Seussical the Musical, “Eva” in Similitude:The Great Adventure Begins, and The Great Day, as a member of the Chorus and Dance Ensemble. Grace enjoys PoiemArtistry, as she has met like-minded creatives that encourage her to be the best she can be, and desire God to be glorified, above all else.
Isaac Green
(Don Lockwood)
Isaac has been around theater since he was 4 years old and has been active in theater since he was 11 years – acting, dancing, singing, and directing. Isaac is an accomplished tap dancer and enjoys all styles of dance. He has been a part of over 10 musicals including Pirates of Penzance (“Frederick”), Godspell (“Jesus”), Pride and Prejudice (“Mr. Bingley”), West Side Story, The Nutcracker Ballet, White Christmas, Similitude: The Great Adventure Begins (“Worldly Wiseman”), Seussical the Musical (“The Cat in the Hat”), and Titanic (“Thomas Andrews). He has also had extensive training in stage flight operation, design, and directing. Isaac is thankful for the opportunity to work and perform with the cast and crew of PoiemArtistry!
Lyndsae Green (Ensemble/Associate Choreographer)
Lyndsae serves as a founding member and the Associate Dance Director and Choreographer for PoiemArtistry. Lyndsae has been involved in dance and theater since she was 13. She has appeared in many stage productions including White Christmas, The Wiz, The Great Day, Seussical the Musical, The Nutcracker Ballet, and Titanic. As an accomplished dancer, she performs and instructs classes in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, and Modern dance styles. Lyndsae graduated from the Wake Technical Institute Culinary and Baking School in 2015 and works at local bakery, Edible Art. Lyndsae also owns her own baking and photography businesses which keep her very busy especially during wedding season. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and is especially excited about being an aunt to her nephew, Carter Hamilton Green.
ChiChi Hay
(Ensemble)
ChiChi has been involved in PoiemArtistry three years and has appeared in three productions: Similitude: The Great Adventure Begins, Suessical the Musical, and Titanic. She currently takes voice and piano lessons at Central Baptist Academy of the Arts, and loves acting, singing, and dancing! ChiChi would like to thank her parents for pushing her and stretching her to be the best she can be. She would also like to thank Mr. Michael, Chelsae, and Lyndsae Green for creating a Christ-filled environment for everyone to discover the beautiful God-given gifts inside!
Rebekah Hay (Ensemble)
Rebekah is appearing in her 4th production with PoiemArtistry. She performed ensemble roles in Similitude: the Great Adventure Begins, Seussical the Musical, and Titanic. Rebekah has taken dance classes for the last 13 years, and loves dancing, singing, and performing. She is incredibly excited to be a part of this production. Rebekah would like to thank her Mom and Dad for always encouraging her to step out of her comfort zone, and the Green’s for showing her what she is capable of, and believing in her.
Christian Houston (Charlie Chaplin Imitator/Ensemble)
Christian is excited to be performing in his fourth PoiemArtistry production. He appeared as “Mimetus” in Similitude: The Great Adventure Begins and “Ensemble” in Seussical the Musical and Titanic. Christian has participated in musical theater since he was in the 6th grade. He has performed in shows such as The Little Mermaid, Music Man, Peter Pan, Similitude: The Great Adventure Begins, Seussical the Musical, and Titanic the Musical. Christian is excited to be doing Singin’ in the Rain this year.
Tom Hurley (Ensemble)
Tom is excited to be part of the cast of Singin’ in The Rain with Poiema Arts. He has previously been in productions of Godspell, Oliver!, and Hair. Earlier this year, he played the role of “Isidor Straus” in the Poiema Arts production of Titanic. Tom wants to thank the Poiema team for giving him the opportunity to be in this production.
Wesley Jones (Roscoe Dexter/Ensemble)
Wesley is performing in his fourth production with PoiemArtistry. He appeared in Similitude: The Great Adventure Begins (“Prince Beelzebub”), Seussical the Musical (“Wickersham Brother”), and Titanic (“Charles Clark”). Wesley loves to play basketball and sing. He sings All The Time!!! His favorite thing about being with Poiema is that even though it’s a production company, Poiema is also family. Thanks to all of his Jones Aunties, his big sister Nzinga, and especially his perfect, most beautiful mother, Angela.
Carson Kidd (Sound Engineer/Ensemble)
Carson is making his fourth appearance with PoiemArtistry in Singin’ In the Rain. He played the role of “Phobos” in Similitude: the Great Adventure Begins, “Yurtle The Turtle” and “Vlad Vladikoff” in Seussical The Musical, and “J.H. Rogers” in Titanic. Carson loves theatre, because it brings out the best in you that you didn’t even know you had. His other interests are playing guitar and sports. Thanks to Mom, Dad, and Mr. Michael Green.
Samantha Lanphere (Assistant Stage Manager)
Samantha has performed in three shows with Poiema: Similitude: The Great Adventure Begins (“Dance Ensemble”), Suessical the Musical (“Bird Girl”), and Titanic (“Kate Mullins”). Samantha has had 20 years of dance training with various studios in the Triangle as well as education with Dance Masters of America in New York. Samantha would like to thank her family and friends for always supporting her. Without them and their constant encouragement, she would not be performing today. Samantha is currently working at Plantation Animal Hospital as a Veterinary Assistant and Receptionist.
Debra Masinde (Ensemble)
Debra is excited make her PoiemArtistry debut in Singin’ in the Rain. She takes Tap 1 classes with Studio Poiema. She has also been in several Christian Life Academy performances and skits. Debra is very thankful to Poiema for accepting her into the show and is looking forward to many more in the future.
Brent McCready (Rod/Production Singer/Ensemble)
Brent is looking forward to making his return to Poiema Arts in Singing in the Rain. This is his fourth show with the company including The Great Day (“Thief”), Similitude: The Great Adventure Begins (“John Bunyan”), and Titanic (“Harold Bride”). Prior to his Poiema experience, Brent was a part of the Squire Theater at North Raleigh Christian Academy where he was a part of Fiddler on the Roof (“Avram”), Mary Poppins (“Bert”), How Love Wins (“Thief”), and Tarzan (“Tarzan”). Outside of Poiema, Brent enjoys singing and playing guitar in the worship team at Crossroads Fellowship. He would like to thank his family for always supporting him.
Luke McIntyre (1st Assistant Director/Ensemble)
Luke is happy to return to the Poiema stage in the Broadway production, Singin’ in the Rain. Also a Poiema board member, Luke has previously performed in The Great Day as “Theo”, and as “Thomas Bunyan” in the Poiema production original, Similitude: The Great Adventure Begins. He graduated from NC State with a degree in Art and currently teaches high school English in Raleigh, North Carolina. He gives special thanks to his wife, Kendra, and their daughter Eden for their support.
Bailey Medlin (Ensemble)
Bailey is appearing in her third production with PoiemArtistry. She was previously in Titanic and Seussical the Musical. Bailey has also acted in several productions with Field of Dreams Performing Arts, appearing in roles including “Roxy Robinson” and “Waitress” in Bugsy Malone Jr., “Young Nala” in Lion King Jr., “Fairy Godmother” in Cinderella (Street Players Version) and “Peter Pan” and the “Three Blind Mice” in Shrek. Bailey has been trained in Broadway Dance, Contemporary, Jazz, Hip-Hop and Tap. She is also taking Mime and Theatre Lab with Studio Poiema to help further her acting abilities. Bailey has also been involved in various films in her church’s children’s department. She loves to play the piano and has participated in local piano festivals. Bailey is a certified scuba diver and you can find her diving at Fantasy Lake during the summers. Bailey would like to thank PoiemArtistry for giving her the opportunity to do what she loves and to her loving family, who has constantly supported her in the arts.
